The Global Blockchain Council, General Incorporated Association, was established on 1 May 2018 with the goal of developing and promoting blockchain technology in Japan and create a global network trough friendly competition and cooperation.

JAPAN BLOCKCHAIN CONFERNCE
Embracing the new era the Japan Blockchain Conference is proud to introduces to Japan new concept with the first event of its kind.
The Japan Blockchain Conference - 2018 Tokyo was held at the Tokyo International Forum on 26 and 27 June, 2018. Its aim was to encourage exchange between people and companies from Japan and around the world involved in cryptocurrencies and/or blockchain technologies, and to deliver high-quality information on developments in the industry.
The conference, which hosted over 15,000 visitors, was primarily planned and operated by VCG CRYPTO FUND & MEDIA GROUP. Companies and organizations at the forefront of the industry both in Japan and abroad, which are expected to play important roles in the future of blockchain technology, got together and exchanged information, and developed strong relationships through friendly competition.
We aim to raise awareness of blockchain and expand the areas where blockchain can be utilized. With this goal in mind, we selected leader figures of the blockchain industry to take part in our conference.
JBC is widely recognized as a highly reliable brand being sponsored by the Japanese Minister of Economy, Trade and Industry and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
The next conference will be held at Pacifico Yokohama on January 30 and 31, 2019, and we expect to mobilize 30,000 people. We are also planning a JBC Asian Tour and we will announce more details soon.
